Pakistan to host Asia Cup 2023 

In the meeting held by ACC on Thursday, it was decided that Sri Lanka is going to host the 2022 20-over Asia Cup and Pakistan is to host the 2023 50-over Asia Cup, confirmed the PCB chairman Ramiz Raja.

The decision was made in an ACC meeting held in Dubai, headed by Jay Shah, who also has the post of BCCI secretary. The conclusion to open the competition in Pakistan was absolutely unanimous, Ramiz Raja added.

Sources from both the BCCI and PCB have affirmed the decision. The specific timetable of the occasions will be announced soon yet the 50-over Asia Cup, , will be organized in a 50-over World Cup year that has been allocated to India," it added.

India are the defending champions of the Asia Cup, having won it in 2018, in UAE, under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, when Virat Kohli was busy in his wedding.

Cricket Teams' tours in Pakistan

The last time Pakistan organized a multi-country tournament was the 2008 Asia Cup, which Sri Lanka won by defeating India in the final which was played in Karachi.
