Pakistan's new squad for T20 World cup announced by PCB


Lahore: On Friday, the new Pakistani squad for T20 World cup got announced by PCB as they wanted to review the squad in the National T20 Cup and include the best names in Pakistan's squad and today some of the performers in the tournament have made their place in the final 15.

Changes made in Pakistani squad

As indicated by the changes made by PCB in the final15, Fakhar Zaman has made his place in the side, with Haider Ali and Sarfaraz Ahmed. 

Muhammad Hasnain has been dropped, while Shahnawaz Dahani and Khushdil Shah have been included in the reserve players list alongside Usman Qadir

New team's training

The new team chose for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup  will enter a bio secure bubble today. The players will go through one day in quarantine after getting tested for covid-19  (Coronavirus).

The group will be prepared for the competition at the National High Performance Center (NHPC) from Sunday. 

The ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2021 will be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman from October 17 to November 14. Pakistan is in Group 2 and will play it's opening match against it's traditional rival 'India' on 24th of October at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Muhammad Wasim regarding PCB's announcement


Muhammad Wasim, in regards to PCB's declaration, said: "After reviewing performances of players in the highly-competitive matches of National T20 Cup and in consultation with the team management, we ended up including Haider Ali, Fakhar Zaman and Sarfaraz Ahmed in the squad for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2021”. 

"The three in-form players are bringing a bundle of experience and talent with them, and will provide further stability, balance and strength to the side. 

"It should be intense for Azam, Khushdil and Hasnain for passing up a major opportunity however they actually have a ton to bring to the table in their vocations. Sohaib Maqsood's choice hit by vulnerability after injury 


Sohaib Maqsood's possibilities of holding his position in the T20 World Cup crew experienced a shock as sources on Friday said the middle - order batsman is experiencing back torment.
