Aakash Chopra on HBL PSL turning to auction model

After PSL is changing to an auction model, here's what famous former Indian cricketer and current You Tuber and cricket analyst has to say about it.

Ramiz Raja's statement

The PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) Chairman, during an interview, announced that he is going to change the players' picking format from a draft model to an auction model to attract world class players. If you look at the statement precisely, Chairman PCB said that:

" The main driver of that financial economy (PCB's financial economy) is the PSL (Pakistan Super League). If we take the PSL to an auction model, increase the purse, then I will put it in the IPL (Indian Premier League) bracket. And then we will see who goes to play the IPL over the PSL".

Aakash Chopra's stance

Reacting to this, renowned cricket analyst, Aakash Chopra uploaded a video on You Tube where he compared the IPL with the PSL.

In this video, he also discussed about the auction model of the HBL PSL and said that:

"Ramiz Raja believes that when he'll shift to an auction model, price limit will get changed, which of course is the case but you will not see a player playing the PSL for 16 crores, this really can not happen and market dynamics are not going to allow that to happen. It is as simple as that".

Other side of the matter

Do remember that the PSL changing to an auction model is not really a confirmed news because Chairman PCB Ramiz Raja already held meetings with Franchise owners prior to season 7 on this matter. The franchise owners denied this format straightaway because their financial approach could not reach there.

 Let us hope that this time, the franchise owners agree to this format because then we will get to see a lot of international players playing the league because at least they'll get the money they want
